Bill S-206 – An Act to amend the Criminal Code (disclosure of information by jurors)

S-206 went up for its third reading vote, and passed with everyone voting in favour. It will receive Royal Assent then come into effect 90 days afterwards.


Bill S-206 would allow jurors to share information regarding the proceedings of the jury while not in the courtroom (ie deliberations) with a professional providing medical or psychiatric treatment as long as the treatment is needed for health issues that were caused by the jury duty.
