Bill 34 – Pandemic Preparedness Act is pretty simple and makes two changes to the Health Protection and Promotion Act.

First, it sets it so any cost-shared public health unit programs are funded at least 75% by the province and no more than 25% by municipalities.

Second, it creates the Pandemic Preparedness Review Committee which consists of public health and pandemic preparedness experts that will review the Province’s pandemic response plan every five years and report their findings back to the Minister.
