C-315 – An Act to amend the Canada Pension Plan Investment Board Act (investments) makes a few changes to the Canada Pension Plan Investment Board Act to add some new conditions to how the CPP invests its funds. The CPP will no longer be allowed to invest its money in anything that it has reason to believe has:
- Committed human, labour, or environmental rights violations
- Produced weapons/ammunition/etc for war that are prohibited under international law
- Ordered or controlled acts of corruption under the Criminal Code or the Corruption of Foreign Public Officials Act
