C-245 – An Act to amend the Canadian Multiculturalism Act (non-application in Quebec) – exempts Quebec from the Canadian Multiculturalism Act.

The Canadian Multiculturalism Act basically just allows a designated Minister to set out our policy on multiculturalism and set up initiatives to help promote it. This includes making agreements with provinces. Xavier believes that Quebec has all the tools it needs to follow its own goals around multiculturalism and wants to change the Act to exempt Quebec from it.
