C-301 – An Act to amend the Canada Student Financial Assistance Act, the Canada Student Loans Act and the Apprentice Loans Act (interest on student loans) – eliminates interest on the federal portion of student loans.
Progress
C-301 is outside of the Order of Precedence.
It doesn’t seem likely that C-301 will end up proceeding. It was introduced during the temporary halt on student loan interest, and shortly after it was introduced the feds permanently cancelled the interest.
