C-395 – An Act to amend the Criminal Code (public transit workers) – increases the punishment for assaulting public transit workers that aren’t operators.
Pretty straightforward here, at the moment the Criminal Code considers assault against a public transit operator an aggravating circumstance, resulting in more severe punishments. This Act changes things so assault against anyone that works for a public transit system is an aggravating circumstance.
