C-323 – An Act to amend the Excise Tax Act (mental health services) – would make it so GST is no longer added to the cost of services provided by psychotherapists or mental health counselors. (Worth noting that GST currently doesn’t apply to a long list of therapy and counseling, including dietetics, psychology, and speech-language pathology)

On Sept 27, 2023 C-323 went up for its Second Reading vote and passed with everyone voting in favour! It will now go to the Standing Committee on Finance.
