What is C-46? – The Cost of Living Relief Act, No. 3
C-46 provides additional payments to provinces and territories, as well as an additional payment of the GST/HST Credit to individuals equal to double the amount of the regular January 2023 payment.
Bill C-30 – Cost of Living Relief Act, No 1 (Targeted Tax Relief)
C-30 is another bill that changes the Income Tax Act! As usual there’s a ton of math in here that’s a bit beyond me, but the general goal is to double the GST/HST credit for 6 months, giving everyone about 50% more than what they would normally receive for the 2022-2023 benefit year.
