Summer break is done and the House is back! We’ve got a few updates here, as well as some catch-up on things I missed before.

Shorter summary today as the House is off this week, but we’ve got two Motions on the Carbon Tax and a few Bill updates.
C-377 makes it easier for MPs to access information that needs secret security clearance.
We have a Motion to deal with the increase in car thefts, the death of Motion M-86, and a few Bill updates!
C-365 gives the Minister of Finance 30 days to present a plan to implement open banking in Canada.
C-353 allows the federal government to take action against foreign groups or other countries that take Canadians hostage or arbitrarily detain them for political reasons.
C-293 – Pandemic Prevention and Preparedness Act – sets up a committee to review Canada’s response to COVID-19 and report back on what we should do to better prepare for future pandemics. The Minister of Health would also be required to put together a pandemic prevention and preparedness plan based on this information.
