C-396 – Stopping the Tax on the Carbon Tax Act – makes the Carbon Tax exempt from GST.
Not a lot to say here. The Carbon Tax is considered part of the final cost for a product, like duties and tariffs, so it’s subject to the federal sales tax. This Act would make it exempt.
