Hello everyone! We had a few votes yesterday, first of which (as you may have heard) was the third and final vote on Bill 7 – More Beds, Better Care Act. It passed with the PCs voting in favour and everyone voting against, received royal assent, and will now go into effect at a time decided by the Lieutenant Governor.
Next up we saw the return of Bill 3 – Strong Mayors, Building Homes Act. This is the Act that would give Mayors control over things like budgets and committees, and also give them veto powers over anything that goes against provincial priorities. When we last saw Bill 3 it had been sent to committee for review, and it has come back without any amendments. It will now move on to its third reading!
Finally Bill 2 – Plan to Build Act completed its third reading and will be put to vote.
